What is your healthy habit and what “bad” habit do you struggle cutting off?


When I used to work in an office, I used to drink two cups of green tea, a healthy habit I completely stopped when I left my job. I have noticed that it is very easy to quit healthy habits and on the contrary, it is very hard to start a new healthy habit.


I truly believe that you don’t have to start changing everything at once – it is the small changes that make the difference. One step at a time. For example, start walking 20 minutes a day, or drink one more cup of water, or drink green tea, or switch to whole grains, etc. And when you have managed to make it a real habit then move on to the next one! 😉


Since the past month, I have started making myself a pot of green tea every day at 3 o’clock. My latest obsession is the “Marrakesh” – green tea & spearmint – with a cinnamon stick in the cup… mmm so soothing and warm!


My “bad” habit is eating dinner in front of the TV watching series. A couple of weeks ago, I decided that this has to stop. So, it has been not more than two weeks now that every evening me and my husband sit on the table and have a nice dinner talking about our day, our plans for the next day, the news, you name it and although I really really enjoy it, I have to admit that it is not always easy to follow.


“Bad” habits are hard to stop and often require to slightly change your mindset, but when you are ready, and you decide to follow a healthier lifestyle, trust me, it is much easier than you think, and you will definitely not regret it!!! Healthy habits improve your overall well-being and make you feel good. And remember, you won’t adopt a healthy lifestyle overnight, it takes time and patience. One step at a time.
